Our History

"Vidya Vaibhav Shikshan Sanstha (Trust) was established in Bhandup – East in the year 1982. In those days, Bhandup – East was a small village that mainly comprised of the lower middle class & labour class and declared as a slum area by the Government of Maharashtra. Unfortunately, there was not a single school in the whole area as a result of which basic education suffered a set back.

It was then that Mr. Sadashiv Bhoir, a school teacher and a member of the Trust established the first school, ‘Shivai Vidya Mandir’ in Bhandup East. He says that the people at that time constructed temples although the need of the hour was not only a temple for worship; but of a temple for learning. He believes that, ‘Success and all round development of an individual is possible only with education. Hence, the school was started with the aim of providing education to the masses that would help them to raise their standard of living and thinking."
